Dr. Philip D. Scott has been offering compassionate eye care to the Houston Northwest community since 1979. Together with his colleague, Dr. Ravi Chundru, he offers special expertise in pediatric ophthalmology, cataract surgery and adult lens implants, laser surgery, glaucoma care and eyelid surgery.
Dr. Scott is a consultant to Spring ISD, Klein ISD, and the NAM Pediatric Clinic. He is immediate past president of the Houston Ophthalmological Society.
After finishing his PhD in Physics at Yale University, he completed his Ophthalmology training at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Scott is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and performs general and pediatric ophthalmology and sees patients Monday thru Wednesday.
Dr. Ravi K. Chundru
is a native Houstonian born in 1970. Wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps as an engineer, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas in Austin. After a short stint in the “real world”, he decided to pursue medicine and completed his medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center in the Texas Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Chundru continued with the Longhorn spirit and finished his Ophthalmology training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
He returned to Houston to join Dr. Philip Scott in 2001.
Dr. Chundru practices General Ophthalmology and performs cataract surgery, new technology adult lens implants (i.e. Restore, Rezoom, Toric), and eyelid surgery. He also gives lectures at the local hospitals to ER staff and diabetic support groups. Dr. Chundru enjoys playing racquetball, volleyball, and hi-tech toys.
Dr. Chundru is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and performs cataract surgery and sees patients Mondays and Wednesday thru Friday.
